Explore the behaviors and actions of this profession. Above all, explore the risks and reactions when facing an inevitable fall and therefore going towards death. Keep calm for passengers or let go of their own role played by a fake coldness.
The creation, inspired by the artist Barbara Kruger, and in particular by the work "Your body is a battleground", from which it takes its title, wants to investigate the individual's conscience, get to wonder and investigate about how much we've actually put into discussing social models. Obviously it focuses a lot on the role of women in the society of today inspired by the homonymous work, created as pro-abortion advertising, and highlighting themes that still today after thirty years, taking reference to the work, are still very vivid. Who decides what a woman should do or not do? Who decides what should or should not be ?. At the center of the work is the feminine ideal that has the society and that, despite the passing of the years, has not yet been put aside, stored. As the title of the work says all the bodies are a battlefield. This is because all the personalities are preventive and try to be more performative than the social aspect of their lives. Society imposes stereotypes, models and it is increasingly difficult to dissociate ourselves from them, because the world grows and increasingly focuses on the external aspect, on what others think; and social media are certainly a way that emphasizes this aspect even more. The woman, which has always been a symbol of fertility and seduction, is undoubtedly the most subject to exploitation and tries to follow fashion, sometimes even to deform her body. In the creation there is a challenge between two personalities: one who wants to try to be what society asks it to be and expects it to be; another, rebel, who with irony tries to be what it wants to be, and accepts itself for its peculiarities, to be different from all the others. The choreography becomes a tool to understand and analyze the capitalist dynamics that make the body an object. The emphasized movements and the abstraction of the choreographic creation want on the one hand, to highlight the alienation of the human body today and, on the other, with irony, to study a very important and current topic, trying to see it under a different key but without losing its importance. Society took in second moments the means used by Kruger to reaffirm its completely opposite ideas. With the art, in this case dancing, we can easily and perhaps using the same irony, "turn the tables" again and try to permanently delete some models of which we are prisoners.0 comentarios 0 likes 147 visitas
Yellow is an inner search, the story of a soul dancing. The dancer breaks his mental and physical barriers and gives himself completely to the public. Yellow is the desire to dance without inhibitions and fears, the desire to be seen in, tell their dancing history. A release of some discussion, initially reluctant, timid, at times aggressive and then completely generous, passionate. Blow up his dancing soul, that light that each artist has, and be proud of it, in whatever manner it has. Give their light and then burning. Become more vulnerable, stop hiding and show themselves for what they really are. A constant struggle, self-giving, or not. People know who you are and then you go back and back into your shell, but it is too late, time flows like the wind, strong, domineering, you ragged. Do you want to stop you, ask for help, but you can not fight time and the choices you make. You can only expect a new moment and make different choices, but you resist the temptation to undress of everything? Put bare, and be free of any weight despite the consequences? I choose to call the Yellow project because since childhood I always imagined the soul as yellow, and I thought that every dancer, when he can be known for what it is as a man or woman and not as a dancer, purchasing a particular light, yellow shining soul and excites. Beyond the choreographic research, the styles, the dance when a dancer shows itself for what it is and it tells how a human being becomes more beautiful. The public can meet again in the dancer, each with their own interpretations and rediscover life's situations. To trust someone, be themselves and want then never did. Unfortunately or fortunately, it is impossible to go back and we have to live with our pain, mistakes, decisions. We have to strengthen ourselves and move on to head up to face the challenges of life. The piece wants to break the barriers between audience and dancers, and stage emotions of everyday life. A relationship gone bad, a loss, a victory. I would like to stage various personalities with various aspects all aimed at seeking their own truth. The intent is to make the public see the dancer as a human being above all and through dance discover the personality and history of each dancer. The dancer is shown with no superstructure and illuminates his soul.Etiquetas:
